JAMES N. LAGESTEE, President
Jim Lagestee and his wife Joyce reside in Frankfort
and are members of Peace Community Reformed Church.
They have two married children and six grandchildren.
Jim is the owner of Lagestee-Mulder Inc. along with
his son Tad and his son-in-law Phil Mulder. He has served
on the Elim School Board and was President of the Cancer
Support Center. In 1988 Jim received the City of Hope
“Spirit of Life Man of the Year” Humanitarian
award in Duarte, California and in 1989 he received
the U.S. “President’s Award” in recognition
of disability awareness services in Tampa, Florida.
Jim believes we can all show Christ’s Mercy through
supporting the aged, disabled and infirm and providing
a touch of “Blessed Assurance.”
JOHN T. ZEILSTRA, Vice President
John T. Zeilstra is a Partner and Vice President of
Sales and Marketing for John H. Evenhouse & Co.,
P.C. in Elmhurst, Illinois. As a Certified Public Accountant,
Mr. Zeilstra is a member of the American Institute of
Certified Public Accountants and Illinois Society of
Certified Public Accountants. He is a Director for Inter
Ocean Cabinet Company. He currently serves on the Board
of Directors for Timothy Christian Schools Foundation,
New Leaf Resources and Rest Haven Christian Services.
Mr. Zeilstra received his B.S. at Elmhurst College and
M.S. in Taxation at DePaul University. John and his
wife Janice have seven children, eight grandchildren
and reside in Hinsdale. They are affiliated with Elmhurst
Christian Reformed Church.
BRUCE LEEP, Treasurer
Bruce Leep is Chairman of First Financial Bancorp of
Hamilton, Ohio and Chairman of Sand Ridge Bank in Highland,
Indiana. Mr. Leep served as President and CEO of Bank
of Highland/Sand Ridge Bank for 29 years before retiring
in 2001. A graduate of Calvin College and the University
of Iowa, Bruce is currently teaching English at Trinity
Christian College in Palos Heights, Illinois. Mr. Leep
is affiliated with First United Lutheran Church in Hammond,
Indiana. Bruce and his wife Mary live in Highland, Indiana.
HOWARD VAN DYKE, Secretary
Howard Van Dyke is the President of Darwill Press in
Hillside, Illinois. Mr. Van Dyke faithfully serves on
the Board of Timothy Christian Schools and is the Head
Cadet Counselor for Lombard Christian Reformed Church,
which is also the church his family attends. He has
served as an Elder in church and on the Board of the
Chicago Christian Counseling Center. Howard received
his B.S. in Business from Calvin College after graduating
from Timothy Christian High School. Howard and his wife
Nancy have three children and reside in Lombard, Illinois.
ROGER A. BOEREMA
Roger Boerema and his wife Leona reside in Lombard and are active members of Elmhurst Christian Reformed Church. They have three married daughters and five grandchildren. Roger has his own real estate appraisal business and has been a member of the Appraisal Institute for over 30 years as a Senior Residential Appraiser. He received his B.A. in Economics from Calvin College. Roger has served on the Timothy Christian School Board and is currently on the board of Rest Haven Christian Services.
CAROL BROOKS
Carol A. Brooks and her husband John have resided in Frankfort for 34 years. They are members of Calvary Reformed Church presently located in Orland Park, Illinois. Carol has three married children and two granddaughters. Carol recently retired from the family business Dawn Companies, which is now owned and operated by sons Bill and Brian. Daughter Beth has worked in the health care field for over 20 years. Carol attended Valparaiso University and worked for ten years in the marketing and sales department of Ernst and Young, LLC where she was responsible for various administrative duties; coordinating special events (Ernst and Young’s Entrepreneur of the Year program) clients workshops, seminars, regional sales meetings, etc). In addition she has held various administrative positions with other companies including office management. Carol finds her organization and management skills are often welcome on various committees and task forces. Carol is an active community and church volunteer.
BASTIAAN KNOPPERS
Bastiaan Knoppers is the Vice President/General Manager of Metavante Corp. in Willowbrook, Illinois. Mr. Knoppers was previously the Founder and Owner of CardPro Services. Mr. Knoppers received his B.A. in Business Administration from Calvin College. He has served actively on the following Boards: Calvin College, Timothy Christian Schools, Lampstand Ministries, Daystar School and the Timothy Schools Foundation. He has served as an Elder, Deacon, Church School Teacher, and Youth Leader. Bastiaan and his wife Joan are members of Elmhurst Christian Reformed Church and have three daughters and two grandchildren. The Knoppers reside in Oak Brook, Illinois.
DICK MOLENHOUSE
Dick Molenhouse and his wife Wilma (Pixie) live in Orland Park, where they raised three sons -- Richard, Keith, and Scott. Dick is retired but remains just as busy as when he was employed! He now enjoys devoting his time to serving a number of Christian and not-for-profit organizations, including Trinity Christian College, Christ Hospital, Hope Children¹s Hospital, Rehoboth Christian School, the Bible League, and the National Christian College Athletic Association. He has also served as deacon and elder at Orland Park Christian Reformed Church.
JAMES M. OBERMAN
James M. Oberman’s executive expertise has been
in the financial services industry with an emphasis
in the equipment leasing and transaction/credit card
processing industry. He has over 17 years executive
management experience in these industries. Mr. Oberman
is the founder of Lease Capital Group, Inc. (“LCG”).
Mr. Oberman is also a Director and member of the senior
management team of Retriever Payment Systems and the
Co-Founder and a Shareholder of Villas Of America -
Inc., a Midwest-based developer of “55 and Better”
active adult communities. James received his B.S. in
Accounting and Finance at the University of Arizona,
Magna Cum Laude with Honors. He is an Illinois Certified
Public Accountant and Elijah Watt Sells Award winner.
Mr. Oberman has held Board Directorships since 1988
at both Restoration Ministries and Calvary Academy School.
James currently resides in Orland Park, Illinois with
his wife Denise and their four children.
ROY L. VAN ECK
Roy L. Van Eck is President of Van Eck and Dykstra, Inc. in Countryside, Illinois. Roy received his Bachelors Degree in Business from Governors State University. As an Accountant Roy is a member of the Independent Accountant Association of Illinois, the National Association of Tax Professionals and the National Society of Accountants. He also has accreditation in Elder Care Accounting from the Accreditation Council for Accountancy and Taxation. Roy is the Immediate Past President of Rest Haven Christian Services. In addition to the Rest Haven Board Roy has served on the Board of Directors of the Illiana Cadet Council, Bethany Christian Services, Providence Management and Development and Leadership Resources International. Roy has over 20 years of Board leadership experience with Not for Profit and Healthcare Boards. Roy and his wife Cheryl have two adult children and reside in Orland Park. Roy and Cheryl are members of Orland Park Christian Reformed Church where he has served as Elder, Deacon, Cadet Counselor and Church School Teacher.
RICHARD C. SCHUTT, Ex officio
Richard C. Schutt is the Executive Director of Rest
Haven Christian Services in Tinley Park, Illinois. Mr.
Schutt has 28 years of management experience within
the healthcare field. Richard is the former Chairman
of the American Association of Homes and Services for
the Aging (AAHSA). He is the Past Chair of the Life
Services Network of Illinois (LSN) and of the Health
Resources Alliance (HRA) in Chicago. Richard received
his B.S. in Business Administration at Trinity College
and his Master’s in Health Administration from
Governor’s State University. He is a member of Grace Community Christian Reformed Church. Richard and his wife Linda have three daughters and reside in Palos Heights.
